1) Can I get more than 6 images per item?

No, currently, the software can only handle 6 images per entry.  Originally, you could only add 3 images per item and that was expanded to 6.

2) Can this program run on Macs or other Operating systems?

Canventory was written specifically for Windows based operation systems. It has been tested on Windows 98, XP and Vista. I don't know if it can run on portable windows based systems or even windows emulation software on Macs. I doubt if it will run on any of these.

3) What are the minimum requirements?

-Windows 98 or better operating system.
-Pentium III or newer CPU -512mb of ram
-Hard drive space is dependant on the amount of data and images you enter. The space required to install the application is only a few mb.

4) What size are the images?

The images are cropped when adding beer cans to the database.  The final size ends up being 400x600.  For all other images the size is 800x600.

5) Do the images take up a lot of space?

The file size of the images are normally less than 100kb which is very small.  A copy of the original image used to create the cropped images is also stored and can be displayed in the item viewer.  100 entrys in the database should only take up about 25mb on your hard drive, but this will vary.

6) How do I know what version I am running?

To find what version you are running... Run Canventory and click on the help button in the upper right part of the screen.  Choose About from the dropdown.  The version is displayed on the about/software credits screen.

7) All my images are the old size, how do I take advantage of the new size?

Canventory can still display images in both sizes, but if you want your existing image to use the new size, then you will have to edit each item and then for each image, choose the "Reload Original Image" button and this will reload the image in the new size.  Sorry for this inconvenience.
